It starts before the order

Where does it run?
Ceiling or mast height, indoor or outdoor, washdown, dust, impact risk, and how hard the fitting is to reach when it needs work.
What is it doing?
Area lighting, task lighting, walkways or facades. The lux levels you need, and whether it is a new build or a fluorescent or HID retrofit.
What if it is wrong?
Poor lux levels for safe work, a crew servicing fittings at height, power wasted every hour it runs, a shutdown to change them.
LEDs last longer, and burn brighter
New LED fittings typically last up to three to five times longer than old high intensity discharge lamps. They are a better choice for low maintenance in the long run.
Your maintenance team can start planning ahead. When an LED fitting begins to lose efficiency, you can quickly identify the issue and minimise your downtime.
Low maintenance, low energy
Is your team regularly servicing light fittings at heights, or in hard-to-access areas? Lower the cost of maintenance by switching to LED technology and much longer lifetimes.
As for energy efficiency, typically you can retrofit a 72W fluorescent fitting with a single 24W LED fitting. That is a 66% reduction in power consumption, with no change in lumen output.
