It's Not About Us,
It's About You
You carry the consequence when a product is wrong for the application. Rework, a failed audit, a line down while a replacement is freighted in — that lands on you, not on the supplier who sent the part.
So we ask before we quote. Three questions, every time, before the part number.
Three questions, every time
Before any part number, we ask what the site needs to answer.
Where does it run?
Zone, gas group, temperature, washdown, dust, vibration, remote site. The environment decides more than the datasheet does.
What is it doing?
Powering, controlling, protecting or monitoring. Like for like, or a chance to fix the root cause.
What if it's wrong?
Downtime, safety, rework, audit exposure. This is the question that changes the answer.
You don't need all three. A couple of the right questions saves a wrong-fit order later.
Resources and Manufacturing
Two sectors, specified against the environment and the duty rather than the catalogue.
Resources
Hazardous area, underground, heat, dust and vibration. We supply IECEx-certified lighting, conveyor safety, motor control, sensing and industrial networking, specified against the zone and the site rather than the catalogue.
Manufacturing
Uptime, changeover and washdown. Drives and motor control, sensing and switching, safety, industrial networking and electrical components, specified for the duty rather than the datasheet.
Three promises, in this order
The specification is right first time.
Application depth, not just stock on a shelf. Product managers who answer the application question properly, not a spec sheet forwarded back to you.
Lead times you can actually plan around.
We'd rather tell you the real date than the one you want to hear.
A decision that survives the audit.
Zone ratings, guarding, isolation and certification, checked before anything is quoted.
We supply and support the product. Your team or your integrator installs and commissions it. Our job is making sure it's the right one.
“We like to empower our customers by providing the knowledge and support they need, when they need it.”
Perth, 1969
Pacific Automation began in Perth, Western Australia in 1969, when Ken Wright saw the need to bring proven international technology to Australian industry.
A single distribution agreement sparked a family business built on trust, service and care, values that remain central to how we work today.
That started with a single distribution agreement, and it started the same way every job here still starts: someone needed the right product for a specific application, and needed it to turn up.
“Our promise? Right product, on time. It's more than just prompt delivery. It's the attention we give to the entire process.”
We've come a long way. What's next?
Wherever you are, the same answer.
Head office in Perth, growing operations in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Whoever you reach, you get the same three questions and the same answer.
People who know the application.
We upskill where we can and hire where we can't, because the technical answer is the product.
A business built on trust.
Trust matters, help people, be better, build community, keep growing. Not a wall poster — it's why the lead time you're quoted is the real one.
Send us the application, not the part number.
Tell us where it runs, what it's doing, and what happens if it's wrong. We'll come back with a specification you can defend.
