Danfoss iC7 Drive Solutions

High-performance motor control for demanding applications, IIoT-ready, modular, built to scale

The Danfoss iC7-Automation is a next-generation variable speed drive for conveyors, hoists, compressors and multi-drive systems, supplied and supported by Pacific Automation across Australia.

What the iC7 Delivers

Precise Motor Control

Superior shaft performance in open or closed loop, including sensorless operation at low speed. Compatible with induction, permanent magnet and synchronous reluctance motors.

Integrated Functional Safety

Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Stop 1 (SS1-t) to SIL3 / Performance Level e are standard, no external safety contactors required. PROFIsafe functional safety via fieldbus is also available.

Flexible IIoT Connectivity

Dual Ethernet port with multiple fieldbus protocols selectable by licence key: PROFINET RT, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP and OPC UA. Switch fieldbus in the field without changing hardware.

Modular, Scalable Architecture

Frequency converters from 0.37 kW to 710 kW. Scale further with air-cooled system modules to 2,700 kW. Parallel power units, no balancing filters required.

New Installation or Replacing an Existing Drive?

New installation (greenfield): Specifying iC7 into a new panel, system or machine? Our team can confirm the correct variant and power rating for your application, advise on fieldbus and safety configuration, and flag any integration considerations before you order.

Upgrading an existing system (brownfield): Moving from an FC-302 or another high-performance drive? The iC7-Automation is Danfoss's next-generation platform for demanding industrial applications. Our team can assess compatibility and help plan the migration.

Need a simpler solution? — Danfoss iC2 Micro Drive

The iC2 is Danfoss's compact, easy-to-specify drive for standard variable-torque applications — pumps, fans, light conveyors and general purpose loads. If your application doesn't need the advanced control and connectivity of the iC7, the iC2 is the more cost-effective choice.
