At Pacific Automation, looking after people has always been part of how we operate.

From the early days as a family business through to supporting customers across Australia today, the focus has stayed the same. Build strong relationships, be reliable, and take a long-term view. That applies just as much to our team as it does to the customers we work with.

A good workplace isn’t just about getting the job done. It’s about creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and able to perform at their best.

Health and wellbeing are a key part of that.

In industrial environments, it’s easy for preventative health to slip down the priority list. Work gets busy, and things like routine checks are often delayed. But in Australia, where skin cancer is so common, early detection plays an important role in reducing risk.

That’s why we’ve joined the #ThrowShade initiative, helping raise awareness around skin health and the importance of regular skin checks.

As part of this, our team is encouraged to book professional skin checks with Shade Skin Cancer Medicine and make it part of their normal routine. It’s a simple step, but one that can make a real difference over time.

More importantly, it helps reinforce a culture where people look out for themselves and each other. Where wellbeing is part of everyday work, not something separate from it.

Investing in people has always been central to building a strong, resilient business. Supporting initiatives like this is one of the ways we continue to do that.
