BES 516-324-SA8-02 (Order Code BES02HP) is an M8 inductive sensor measuring Ø8 x 55.5 mm (mounting length 55.5 mm), rated for flush mounting and terminated with a 2 m PVC cable (3 conductors, 0.14 mm² conductor cross-section, 3.70 mm cable diameter). It operates on an operating voltage Ub of 10...30 VDC (rated operating voltage Ue DC 24 V, rated operating current Ie 200 mA) and provides a PNP normally open (NO) switching output at a switching frequency of 2000 Hz. The sensing distance is 1 mm (assured operating distance 0.8 mm, ±10% tolerance).

The sensor is rated IP67 for an extended ambient temperature range of -25...100°C (contamination scale 3), built to IEC 60947-5-2 with CE, UKCA and WEEE conformity; it is listed as a base-type deviation from the standard type in ambient temperature, switching distance, frequency and length. The housing is 1.4034 stainless steel with a PBT sensing surface and PVC cable jacket, and the stated MTTF at 40°C is 595 years.
