PA Partnership Visit to Germany
Tuesday, 25 April 2023
This week, Pacific Automation's CEO, Stephen Armstrong and Operations Manager, Scott Bryant jumped on a plane to go visit the head office of Rechner Sensors in Lampertheim, Germany.
Rechner can offer sensors attuned for very specific detection purposes.
And the tour didn't finish inside the building. In 2021, Rechner Sensors set up wildflower meadows on the remaining property next-door. These have been colonised by bee colonies, which are maintained by their regional beekeeper.
The company is keenly committed to sustainability, and went 100% climate-neutral last year in 2022.
There's a fruit orchard to the other side. Solar panels provide roughly 60% of their annual electricity requirements. Employees drive electric vehicles. Inspiring to say the least!
Bees are crucial for almost all ecosystems on our planet.
Thank you to Christopher Neth and Florian Zehnbauer for the warm welcome!

Plus, some bonus pics from Hannover Messe '23.
Steve and Scott also swung by Hannover Messe to see what's new and exciting. We came across some familiar faces, dropping in on Weidmuller, Lumel, Advantech and Kuebler, who all had very impressive displays and demonstrations going.
