From the Black Forest: New Partnership With Kubler

Thursday, 21 September 2023
We're pleased to share we're now authorised Australian channel partners of Kubler.

Since 1960, Kubler have been helping industrial operators to reliably record every movement.

Our new partnership gives you full access to their innovative engineering & precision measurement portfolio.

Germany's Black Forest. Known for dark pine forests, picturesque villages, rushing waterfalls and rich, decadent chocolate cake. Home to the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales, the world's largest cuckoo clock, and the highest non-alpine mountains.

Zoom in and find Villingen-Schwenningen, a small city in the South-Eastern area. In 1858, the first watch factory was established here. Mechanics and engineering have been important industries ever since.

With such a rich history of precision measurement, it's no surprise that a company like Kubler was born here.

"Kubler products have been supplied within Australia before, but not with the high level of local & national support that we're now able to offer with Kubler Australia's support.

We're always looking to provide our customers with innovative products and solutions from premium global manufacturers. Partnering closely with Kubler is a great way to achieve this."

Steve Armstrong, CEO

Kubler products fit under three key categories; measurement, transmission, and evaluation.

For many of our customers, a popular offering from Kuebler is their extensive range of rotary encoders.

Also referred to as shaft encoders, rotary encoders are electro-mechanical devices that convert the angular position (or motion) of a shaft into an analogue or digital signal.

Encoders are used wherever lengths, positions, rotational speeds, and angles need to be accurately recorded.

Kuebler offer both of the basic types of rotary encoders - that being absolute and incremental encoders. We'll spare you the details here, but there's a great write-up on the key differences between absolute and incremental encoders on our blog if you're interested.

When selecting an encoder, you have extensive options available, including optical or magnetic sensing, plus choices for single-turn or multi-turn capabilities.

Any rotation can be measured, recorded, and logged.

Kuebler also offer precision measurement solutions for linear position and speed detection, plus angle of inclination detection.

These are designed to solve niche applications include shaft copying systems: commonly found within elevator systems and used for absolutely accurate positioning of the elevator car.

But there's more than just measurement on offer.

Under the Transmission portfolio sit slip rings, signal converters, cables and connectors.

Within Evaluation sit displays and counters, process devices, and safe speed monitors.
