BES 517-132-M5-H (Order Code BES0206) is a cuboid inductive sensor measuring 120 x 40 x 40 mm, connected via an M20 cable gland (2.5 mm² connection cross-section) and rated for non-flush installation (size 40x40). It operates on an operating voltage Ub of 10...55 VDC (rated operating voltage Ue DC 24 V, rated operating current Ie 200 mA) and provides a PNP normally open/normally closed (NO/NC) switching output at a switching frequency of 60 Hz. The sensing distance is 30 mm (assured operating distance 24 mm, ±10% tolerance).
The sensor is rated IP67 for an ambient temperature range of -25...70°C (contamination scale 3), built to IEC 60947-5-2 with CE, UKCA and WEEE conformity. Housing and sensing surface are both PBT, and the stated MTTF at 40°C is 730 years. Function and operating-voltage LED indicators are fitted, and the tightening torque is 4...5 Nm, with 0.8 Nm for the clamping screw.
