Extend-a-Read

RFID Inc.’s Extend-a-Read RFID system is based on the use of 433 MHz active anti-collision (read many simultaneously) tags. Tags emit a data signal every 1.8 to 2.2 seconds which is picked up by the Reader. A standard reader is able to pick up tags within a meter of the antenna. Optionally, this range can be extended up to pick up tags up to 75 metres away through the use of directional antennas. With the tag batteries lasting from 3-6 years depending on the model used, an Active RFID system can proved to be a cost effective, low maintenance solution. |
